Riot Games’ new 5v5 tactical game
Valorant is a tactical action-shooter PC game developed by Riot Games—creator of popular games such as Legends of Runeterra, League of Legends, and Teamfight Tactics. It was first introduced as “Project A” during Riot's 10th-year anniversary stream. It offers a 5v5 character-based action strategy game wherein your greatest weapon all throughout the gameplay is your creativity. It highly encourages you to win through your skills and strategy alone. Thus, it serves a newly-developed anti-cheat system that blocks the most common forms of hacking—which makes this game unique from its competitors such as Overwatch, CS: GO, and Rainbow Six Siege.
Inspired by known FPS games
By far, there are eight playable hero characters in Valorant: namely Sova, Phoenix, Cypher, Jett, Vyper, Brimstone, Sage, and Omen. However, you easily have access to the full roster since you'll unlock them as the game proceeds. Each has a set of four unique abilities, however. Two of those must be bought with the money you earned while playing. Most of the abilities are similar to Overwatch—except that character abilities here are more varied and the ultimate abilities have an extremely long cooldown that can even last up to multiple rounds.
Similar to Counter-Strike, your heroes are not locked into using only one weapon all throughout the game since you can purchase numerous weapons, as well as secondary abilities, at the beginning of each round. Some of them you can use are sidearms, SMGs, shotguns, rifles, snipers, heavies, and melee. A headshot can kill your enemies in one-hit. Rifles can destroy enemies in three to four shots to the torso. You can expect the gunplay in this game to be as highly lethal and as deadly as CS: GO and Sieges.
